Voila!

It is registered.

Voila! is registered at Korean National Tax Service on August 28.

First questions that the company would receive from the public would be like the following: what does the company do?, what is the company established for? or generally which sector does the company belong to?

A quick answer would be that it is a software company. But it is not set in stone. It is not an easy question to answer. When it comes to specifically what the company will make, it gets more difficult. Some ideas can be brought up from the knowledges and experiences that have been acquired, and relationships that have been cultivated with people. But would that be a proper way to start a business? if a personal work is sought, the way would be sufficient. But if a business is established and it is luckily successful, the way would lead to usual and undesirable consequences. It is not unusual that many successful enterprises were started as a small startup with some ideas and opportunities and kept growing to sizable businesses. However, they are faced with changes and challenges in and from the market, they are confused and found themselves not prepared.

Let it find its way

When they have to make a decision for the next phase, the enterprise would usually rely on a person or a specific group of people; for example, CEO, a task force, technical experts, etc. No matther who makes the decision, most important thing is to make the decision on as much information as possible and not biased by interests or tendencies that represent a person or a group of people. It is why a well-formed system is important. A good system can even make the decision so evident to the decision maker.
So Voila! will be prepared first with a system like that.

The name

It is a French word voilà. According to Merriam-Webster, it means

used to call attention, to express satisfaction or approval, or to suggest an appearance as if by magic

There is no perfect Korean representation to enunciate the word. The closest representation sounds too strange to Korean. After many thoughts, Boila (English representation of the Korean word registered in office), following the hint given by a boy who sounded so with no understanding the meaning of the word. It sounds as Boiler to Koreans but it is better remembered than any other representations.
